Misery loves company (or, not the most exciting post ever)

To the people waiting to be interviewed: soon. I promise. I'm just too fucking sick right now. After days and days of the worst cold ever getting worse, and still worse, and two long nights of coughing and sweating and feverish dreams in which I alternately fought bitterly with Peter and recoiled from fishes on platters (yes, they scare me, and I have nightmares about them, okay?), I went to the doctor. I have a throat infection.

Yesterday it was a beautiful, sunny, almost spring day and I spent it sleeping on the couch, pinned down by a really fat cat who seemed to get heavier every time I went off on a coughing jag. Today, I don't feel any better but at least I'm awake, and this is my front porch.

Tell me about it. Monday - 58 friggin degrees, sunny and warm. Tuesday - 32 degrees, rain, turning over to snow at night.
I can't stand it.

But get better soon. I'm sure a nice Pittsburgh Salad and Gin and Tonic would clear it right up! Either that, or a fish on a platter.

Hope you feel better soon, Jodi!

At this point, I'm convinced that spring is just an urban myth.

Throat infections are the absolute pits. Get lots of rest, drink loads, and hopefully it won't last too long.

I won't torment you with tales of the beautiful spring day we're having here in the south of England ....

Get well soon, Jodi! I've got a naggy throat thing going on right now, so I sympathize.

Hope you feel better soon. Weather is bad everywhere - we have spent the first week of spring with unbelievable rain. Surely next week will be a better on all around.

There's some cartoon in which, during a musical number, a cooked fish on a platter twists around to vertical and sings. Now, what could be creepier than that?
