my fall sweaters for JCA

cabled pullover for jca crafts, fall 2006hooded cardigan for jca crafts, fall 2006

These are the sweaters that ate half of my first year of grad school. The cabled pullover is in Reynolds "Blizzard", a big, fat, luxuriously soft and warm alpaca blend, and the hooded jacket is in Reynolds "Whiskey", a lightweight wool that's perfect for colour patterning. I think you could probably get your LYS to order the pattern booklets if they don't already carry them.

wow! these are so great jodi, well done. i love the plaid pattern on the hooded jacket especially. i have entire cardigan in that pattern, my oldest surviving UFO (from i think around 92).

I LOVE your sweater designs. I have made so many of them and plan to make more! They are modern and appealing and I totally love them. I wish you all the best in your work - both printing and knitting. Your work is beautiful.

They look great! Blizzard is one my favorite yarns to fondle (um, sorry if that sounds pervy); a whole sweater of it would be so cozy.

Well done, Jodi -- both are really great.

(Re: a few posts back, I'm loving Ms. Marigold on you and now want one for myself.)

Gorgeous. I love the combination of the modern shape with the traditional cabling and colorwork. Congratulations on having them in print!

I really like the patterns that you've been doing. I've heard about JCA on a few different blogs, but I'm not sure what that is. Is it a brand of yarn?

Great job, Jodi! I like them both a lot!

Gah! the cables on that are delish. I dont' have the mind power to knit cables or a sweater right now... but I loved knitting Mariah, and I'll definitely be knitting another one of your sweaters again :) you rock.
You need to do a baby sweater pattern...... ;) you can use Ruby as your model.
