November 02, 2006

as a child I must have read more books than I had conversations, because I think I was at least 20 before I realized that "misled" was not pronounced "my-zulled".

Sorry if I caused any confusion yesterday, but I didn't mean to imply that I'm crazy enough to try posting here every day when I have that huge list of things to do in the next seventeen days; I only meant to say that I hope people post lots of pictures so I don't have to look at all the words every day. However I can try, although I promise nothing, to put up a picture every day, how's that? Let's start with this lovely shot taken this summer at Dru and Em's wedding, which I just know my mom will want to frame for the living room. I mean, who wouldn't?

at dru & em's wedding

Peter, when he saw this one, said that it illustrates perfectly the true nature of our relationship. Just for the record, he's totally full of shite.

Love it. This took me back to when my sister confidently said that something was makabree (macabre). She was about 20 at the time too and was a real bookworm. Can't shut her up now though!!!

You should submit that photo to the Jones Soda people.

i hope it's a compliment to say that you two look like you cb fraternal twins... perhaps that was the effect you were aiming for in the photo. (me, i always wanted a girl who resembles me in every way, but alas, there are none so beautiful:)

when i read, if i get the pronunciation of a character's name wrong, there's just no way i adjust to the correctly version. it's like hey, holden's younger sister is "foe-bee", that's her name, i'm not to going to let you give her a new one (eg, "fee-bee"). ditto for harry potter's hermione... her real name is hermy oh'nee, i'm not going to rename her just because everyone else has it wrong.

heh - "misled" for me was read "mild" (because of the 'isle' - made sense to me at the time..

Hee hee! I was about 20 when I finally realized that the word "seg-way", which I heard people use in theatre for a scene shift and "segue", which meant the next section in piano music or a change in the conversation in literary novels, were the same word. In my head the word from paper sounded like "seg-you".
