Woodcut, digital print, sumi ink drawing, polyester lithography, more polyester lithography, more woodcut, then more sumi ink drawing.

spun prints

Self portraits (woodcut and linocut) on Japanese paper, cut into strips and spun: this will be plied with wool roving (see yesterday's post) for a knitted installation piece.

Cool. Was it difficult to spin the paper? Gotta say I'm loving your prints right now -- they're beautiful, and thought provoking in a really subtle way. (Thought provoking in that they make me daydream and think, and not in the way where I want to work them out, if that makes sense.)

Just caught up with that last spinning post ("believe it!"). I cannot wait to see what you are up to with the spun paper.

Is that print for sale? If so, could I ask how much? I really really like it a lot.

The spun paper looks pretty neat...are you going to knit it on very chunky needles? How flexible and strong will it be?
Could you perhaps put a penny or something up to the next pic so that we can see the scale?
You always have something interesting to show us!
