busy, tired
We got out of Athens a little later than planned yesterday and (of course) got trapped in gawdawful Atlanta traffic that set us back another two hours. We drove all night and didn't reach our hotel in Kansas City until 5 am (Central Time), and had to get up at 8:30 in order to make it to the conference hotel in time for the awards ceremony we wanted to attend. Ugh. Now we're back in our room taking a break, which means naps for my colleagues and internet time for me (yes, I'm exhausted, but even though I could easily have fallen asleep during the last panel I went to, somehow by the time we got back to the hotel I was past my tired place. Damn).
I feel like a zombie. But I got a lot of drawing done on my shirt today. I like how these markers blend.
Gallery openings tonight, and lots of 'em. So, so tired.

I hate that "too tired to sleep" feeling. Conferences are the worst for that. Your shirt, however, looks incredible.

Wow, that shirt looks awesome! Are you using special (fabric) markers for that?

Your shirt looks very cool! Honestly.. is there a time of day that Atlanta traffic is not gawdawful? I think not.

Your shirt is sooo cool!
I hate it when I get past the point of being able to sleep . . . I think that's one of the main culprits in my insomnia (which is legendary). An insomniac who doesn't function well without her sleep -- it's great!

I never could imagine how beautiful that shirt/using fabric markers/ could be!!!
I hate sleeping anywhere but my own bed. I just can't do it and I turn into a monster and my skin turns grey.

Great shirt Jodi. I can't wait to see how it develops. Have a great time at the gallery & remainder of the conference!

Ah, I can see I totally underestimated this project - it's awesome in all kinds of ways that surprise me. Have a good time!

The shirt looks awesome! The lack of sleep will just make you seem cool and detached and when you talk everyone will listen because you will speak slowly and majestically and you will be so much cooler than everyone else. And then you'll be able to easily winnow out the pretentious fromt he truly interesting people! Yeay no sleep!

I love that shirt!

Your shirt is coming along brilliantly. How are you able to reach around to the other side of your elbow? LOL
The markers are working better than I could have ever imagined too.

Wow! That shirt is looking great! (waaaaaay better than what my ol' "highschool doodles" would have looked...) Do you think if I sent you a cotton shirt to wear you could art it up for me? That would be so neat...(of course, with the differences in our sizes, you'd be "swimming" in it, but even that would be an experience I imagine...*hopeful grin*)
Email me your snail-mail addy there when you get the chance and I'll send you some stuff!

Hi Jodi! Your shirt is amazing and I hope you are having a good convention. This explains why nobody was at knitting weds. But I"m back around, if you could contact me with a way to contact you about the spinning wheel, I hope it has worked out for you.
Thx, darilee

Awesome design.
