I was fortunate to see Morrisseau's work while in Ottawa last year. Very impressive. Especially to see how he produced his art no matter the materials he had access to (like the plywood board he painted on).

Awe, I love his art. We have several prints hanging on the walls. I wish I could have afforded the real deal, but am happy with what I have.

I don't know if I've ever seen his work before. It's amazing! I wish I had known about him before he died.

Poor Norval had a pretty rough life, if I remember correctly. An art gallery I worked in once had one of his works brought in, it was over 7 feet high, the colours were incredibly vivid and there were strange little bits of what seemed to be rice crispies under some of the paint -probably not rice crispies though...
