welcome home
Marta at Addictive Tattooing and Piercing did this for me.
Yes, my tank top is on inside out (deal with it). Also, don't worry, I'm going to ask her to use a different kind of tape to stick the bandages on next time. Clearly my skin doesn't like the tape too much.

Lovely.
And that tape rash looks almost more uncomfortable than the tattoo itself.

Love it, love it, love it! I've never seen a tattoo of the Great Lakes before, but it looks perfect inked on your back!

Aw, cool! Are you going to have more done on it or have color put in, or is this the finished ink?
Posted by: chris at June 9, 2008 08:34 AM
I. love. this.

You need to put a big, red "You Are Here" arrow on it!

Wow! Awesome tatoo! That is extremely original which makes is super cool because no one else has one like it. Yeah, the tape did a bit of a number on your back!

Brilliant. I love it. I spent my honeymoon on your right shoulder blade.

That is one of the coolest tats I've seen! And I hate the steri-tape too, it can cause really bad burns.

I looked up Windsor so I could place it on your map. Looks like it's pretty much centered on your spine? I like that. Lovely tat!

Miguel san sez:
"Does she need a little Loch Ness Monster on there? Should I draw it on when she's not looking? Will it want tree fitty?"
Me, I think a pirate sock monkey sailing the 5 inland seas would be a faboo addie. :-)

That's stunning - I love the simple line work. I'm a sucker for place-pride tattoos.* It looks great.
*I know at least 5 people from Michigan with left hand tattoos showing where on the mitten they live, and that's just the start of it!

Exfcellent! So, you will be adding to it? Blue water? Cities? How complex are the plans?
Posted by: Carol at June 10, 2008 12:01 PM
Very cool. Dying hear the inspiration for it, though!

That's too cool! I wonder what city that cute freckle marks? Part of the Uber-city of Toronto?
Your tat artist did a great job.
It reminds me of this "Ting" cartoon where he made the great lakes into a caricature of John Dieffenbaker... or was it Pierre Trudeau? I forget.

Love it, love it, LOVE it!
